Instructions

                        
    
                            
  • Connect with a USB-A to USB-C cable
    • 
                            
  • Turn the BlockBoy on
    • 
                            
  • Click "Connect device" and pick the port in the popup
    • 
                            
  • Your device is detected automatically
    • 
                            
  • Confirm, then wait ~1-2 minutes

Important

                        
The firmware is overwritten. ROMs and saves on the microSD card are not affected.

                        
USB-C to USB-C cables are not supported. Use a USB-A to USB-C cable.

Only needed for testing or troubleshooting. A normal install does not need this.

                    

                        
                        
                    

                    
Recovery skips the confirm step and re-flashes a stuck or restarting device the moment it is caught — no need to be quick. It uses the firmware selected above and still verifies the hardware first.


                    

                        
                        
                    

                    
Flash your own .img file. The device is still detected, and a file larger than the chip is refused so it can't brick the device.
